The app is intended for users located in Malawi.

2. SMS Access and Processing

a. Permission (READ_SMS)

With your explicit consent, Wani Wallet accesses SMS messages on your device to identify financial transaction messages such as bank alerts and mobile money notifications.

b. Limited Scope

The app only processes SMS messages that match financial transaction patterns.

We do NOT read, store, or process personal or non-financial messages.

c. Extracted Data

The app may extract the following from relevant messages:

• Transaction amount
• Transaction type
• Date and time
• Sender name

3. Local Processing Guarantee

All SMS content and extracted financial data are processed and stored locally on your device.

SMS content is never transmitted to external servers, including analytics platforms such as Firebase.

4. Analytics and Firebase Usage

We use analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics) to collect limited, non-personal usage data to improve app performance and user experience.

This data may include:

• App usage events (e.g., feature usage)
• Crash reports and diagnostics
• Device-level performance data

The following data is NOT collected, transmitted, or shared with Firebase or any analytics service:

• SMS content
• Transaction details
• Phone numbers

Wani Wallet currently does not display advertisements.

You may revoke SMS access at any time, though some features may stop working.

All data remains on your device and can be deleted by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
